Olentangy Liberty opened up scoring in the first inning, when Dani Schoenly hit a solo homer.
Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning, when Sutton Evans singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Olentangy Liberty pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Ashley Chevalier doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Lindsey Leeds singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Lacy Thompson grounded out, scoring one run.
Leeds earned the victory in the circle for Olentangy Liberty. The ace lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out eight.
Kendall Timms took the loss for Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity. The pitcher went five innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and walking one.
Evans, Sara Dale, and Yvonne Wang each collected one hit to lead Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity.
Olentangy Liberty saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Chevalier, Leeds, and Schoenly all had multiple hits for Olentangy Liberty. Chevalier went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Olentangy Liberty in hits. Olentangy Liberty was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Chevalier had the most chances in the field with nine.
