Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity Loses Lead Early in Defeat
Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-0 loss to Groveport-Madison on Monday. Groveport-Madison scored on a single by Addison Cothern and a home run by Kendyll Cahill in the first inning.
Groveport-Madison got things started in the first inning when Cothern singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
One bright spot for Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity was a double by Yvonne Wang in the fourth inning.
Cahill was the winning pitcher for Groveport-Madison. The ace went seven innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out 11 and walking one.
Kendall Timms took the loss for Worthington Kilbourne Wolves Varsity. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out five.
